Traditional highlights use foils placed from root to end for even, all-over brightness. Balayage is hand-painted, so the lightest pieces sit away from the root and grow out softer with less obvious lines. Neither is better, they just give different results. Christa will recommend the right technique based on your hair, your goal and how often you want to come in.
A mini highlight is a quick visit, while a partial highlight runs about 3 hours 15 minutes and a full highlight about 3 hours 40 minutes. A full balayage takes about 3 hours 30 minutes, and combo appointments that add a root retouch or haircut run closer to 4 hours. Your exact time is reserved when you book.
An add-on toner at your appointment locks in the shade, and a gloss or glaze between bigger services keeps the tone from going brassy. At home, use color-safe shampoo, wash with lukewarm water and book a deep conditioning treatment when your hair starts to feel dry. Christa will give you a maintenance plan based on your color.

Christa watches your hair through the whole service, paces bigger changes across appointments when that is the safer route, and offers K-18 repair and deep conditioning treatments to keep lightened hair strong and soft.
